How to Save Pinterest Idea Pins as MP4
Idea Pins (formerly Story Pins) are Pinterest's multi-page video format, and unlike regular pins, the app doesn't offer a native way to save them. Here's the workaround.
What makes Idea Pins different
Idea Pins are made up of multiple pages, each with its own video or image clip, stitched together into one scrollable story. Because of this format, Pinterest treats them differently from standard video pins.
Step 1: Open the Idea Pin
Find the Idea Pin you want to save and open it to full screen on the Pinterest app or website.
Step 2: Copy the link
Tap the share icon and copy the pin link, just like you would for a regular video pin.
Step 3: Paste it into PinSaver
Paste the link on the homepage and press Download. PinSaver combines the Idea Pin's pages into a single MP4 file you can save directly.
A note on multi-page pins
Some Idea Pins mix video clips with static images and music. The resulting MP4 keeps the original order and any music included by the creator, so it plays back exactly as it appeared on Pinterest.
